New FDA Bioterrorism
Legislation: December 9, 2004:
The
events of September 11, 2001 highlighted the need to enhance the security
of the U.S. Food Supply. Congress responded by passing the Bioterrorism
Act of 2002. Section 306 specifically applies to companies who manufacture
or process food. On December 9, 2004, the FDA published the final rule
implementing Section 306 of the Bioterrorism Act. For more information
